The adage that elections are ultimately about the economy was never more apt for the U.S. in 2024. Growth largely outperformed expectations, and the forecast for 2025 is also robust. But recession chances remain elevated heading into 2025, according to some analysts that say inflation and tariffs are likely the biggest risks to economic stability. Owen Fairclough has the report.
