The community clinic will reopen in its new location, a former bank building, on January 2.
GERALDINE, Ala. — Geraldine residents in need of medical care will be able to do so at a brand new facility when the new year begins.
Saturday, Congressman Robert Aderholt acted as host for the dedication of The Geraldine Clinic‘s new digs, the former Liberty Bank location on Highway 75. The bank moved out of the smaller building back in 2020 and donated it to the Town of Geraldine.
Aderholt’s office worked with Mayor Chuck Ables to allocate $375,000 for the benefit of renovating and upgrading the bank building’s plumbing and electrical system for its new role as a medical facility.
“It will be opening the door on a healthier future for, Geraldine, DeKalb County, and the entire region,” Aderholt said during the dedication ceremony.
