Water outage advisory issued for parts of Plaquemines Parish [Video]

PORT SULPHUR, La. — Plaquemines Parish government officials posted a water outage notification on social media on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Facebook post, the outage was caused by a water line break  and service has been halted from the Port Sulphur Water Plant to Empire Bridge.

Crews are currently working on repairs. 

A boil water advisory will be in effect once service is restored.
