By moving to new service provider Cloudflare, Elon Musk‘s X platform has restored service to some users in Brazil despite a recent ban, something the company has referred to as “temporary” and “inadvertent.”

On Wednesday, a number of Brazilian X users unexpectedly regained access to their accounts, despite a recent ban imposed on the social media platform by the nation’s highest court.

A court ruling on Thursday from Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered X, formerly Twitter, not to circumvent the block, citing a daily fine of 5 million reais ($921,726.95) for doing so.
