Legendary Analogue Solutions sequencer rebooted [Video]

The new AS500-SEQ is a reimagined version of the UK brand’s classic Megacity sequencer.

UK synth stalwarts Analogue Solutions have released a reboot of one of their classic sequencers. The new AS500-SEQ is a fresh take on the classic Megacity, an unusually creative design which features two banks of 32 steps arranged in vertical columns.

Sequences run downwards either in two parallel 32-step patterns or a single 64-step pattern, using a unique ‘tear drop’ approach. Toggle switches on each step allow you to bypass the rest of the steps on a column and jump straight to the top of the next column. That makes it a particularly versatile way of manipulating and reimagining patterns in real time.
