Fans of Coronation Street have been left feeling bereft following the announcement that another star is leaving the show.

Luana Santos, who quickly became a household name after joining the ITV soap as Sabrina last year, has confirmed her departure. Her character Sabrina first appeared on the scene as Max Turner’s girlfriend, portrayed by Paddy Bever.

The couple’s initial connection was formed while Max was completing community service for his involvement with a far-right extremist group, a fact Sabrina was unaware of at the time. Over the past year, Luana has been central to several major plots, including the shocking vanishing of Lauren Bolton, played by Cait Fitton.
