Milton Elementary School has officially postponed the start of the school year by one week following an assessment that revealed mold in various parts of the building. The assessment found that 41 classrooms and over 50% of the assessed rooms have sustained water damage, leading to visible mold growth. In response to these findings, the school district is working with a specialized mold remediation company and implementing a thorough consultation protocol to address and resolve the problem.The school district says that classes for students in pre-K to fourth grade will now start on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
