New poll: Weird is a winner as Walz, Harris take the lead in key swing states [Video]

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz made “weird” go viral when he started using it to describe former President Donald Trump and his fellow Republicans.

“These are weird people on the other side,” Walz told MSNBC. “They want to take books away. They want to be in your exam room.”

Walz, the former high school football coach-turned-Minnesota governor, and now Democrat Kamala Harris’ No. 2, used the “W” word last month to describe Trump and his running mate, U.S. Sen. JD Vance of Ohio.

Vance, who has questioned Walz’s military service, tried toss the verbal grenade back at his Democratic rival, branding him a “schoolyard bully.”

But if a new poll of voters in some key battleground states is any indication, weird works.

Bigly,” as Trump might say.

Overall, 45% of respondents to the poll by the newly launched Independent Center said Trump was weirder than Harris, while 37% found Republicans weirder than Democrats.
