Update on New Edison School Construction – Erie News Now [Video]

The first day of school for students in Erie’s Public Schools is two weeks from today.  Students at Edison School have something unique to look forward to. 

While the school year will take place in their old building at east 6th and Bacon, they’ll be able to watch their brand new school building going up. Construction is well underway just south of the current Edison School.

The framework for their new gymnasium is already up. With a lot of good weather, the project is on schedule to be ready by August 8 of next year, for the 25-26 school year.

For this year student drop off and pickup will be the same.

“I mean the kids will show up everyday, they’ll be able to look out the window and hopefully not get too distracted from their education but will be able to see their new building be erected,” said Neal …
