MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Two talented muralists are transforming a brand-new Midtown apartment building with a spray can, giving it a new and familiar facelift.
“It’s called, by Stephanie, ‘Grizzly Green.’ She called that out today, so we got ‘Grizzly Green’ behind us,” said local muralist Lee New.
The 100 by 30 feet mural is a piece of the 901′s positivity. The designers, New and Denver artist Pat McKinney, created the art to bring smiles to the Midtown neighborhood and incoming tenants at 26 North McLean.
“We’ve had people from young to old to all different types of walks of life come by and tell us how much they’ve enjoyed it and how beautiful it is and [how it] puts a smile on everyone’s face,” said New, who is the owner of the fourplex apartments.
