13th Annual Dauphin Street Vault held in Mobile [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – If you thought you saw pole vaulters on Dauphin Street Saturday, you weren’t seeing things.

The annual Dauphin Street Vault took place downtown on Dauphin Street between Jackson and Joachim streets.

Organizers say it’s a pole vault block party, historically held at the end of the track and field outdoor season.

Dauphin Street Vault is a not-for-profit grassroots organization whose mission is to raise awareness for the pole vault, promote safety in the sport, and provide a chance for spectators to see the event up close.
