KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Thousands of Vol fans wanted to get their hands on a piece of the national title by their Tennessee Baseball team.
Orders will take 8 to 10 business days to get shipped, and that’s on a good day, said Marketing Manager Tommi Grubbs.
“We are a little bit backed up, as you can imagine,” Grubbs said. “But we have a lot of different processes in place that we’ve utilized, and modified a little bit. We are doing in-store pickups much quicker than if you want it shipped.”
Grubbs said their merchandise team had been planning merchandise designs a month before Tennessee won the College World Series.
Still, the site crashed after the Vol’s College World Series victory.
She said the following Tuesday, there were somewhere between 8,000 and 9,000 orders for CWS merchandise.
