After catastrophic flooding in some Vermont towns on Tuesday, another round of downpours and thunderstorms roll through this afternoon and evening.A flash flood warning has been issued for Grafton County, NH until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for northern and central Vermont, including the Champlain Valley in New York, until midnight Thursday.Receive Weather Alerts Straight to Your Phone Sign Up Here!Showers will likely develop before noon with storms becoming widespread between 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.Storms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall and briefly gusty winds. The main concern will be if the storms track over the same area multiple times, causing areas of poor drainage and minor flooding. The highest risk for flash flooding exists east of the Green Mountains, especially in the Northeast Kingdom. With saturated grounds and swollen rivers/streams, a couple of inches of rain in a few hours will be enough to trigger a flood.
