DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)—As Hurricane Francine makes landfall, the storm will impact the majority of the wiregrass, and local emergency services are warning residents to be prepared.

While Houston County will not be in the direct path of the storm, severe weather is still possible in the area.

The Dothan-Houston County EMA is doing its part in keeping residents safe by starting an information campaign, where the agency will send out alerts through social media and other forms of communication.
