Prince William, the president of the Football Association, met with Southgate and the England squad at St. George’s Park on the eve of their departure for Qatar, and warned them against online distractions.
Speaking ahead of England’s second group game against the USA on Friday night, Southgate was asked how he was keeping his players from being distracted by outside noise at their Al-Wakrah basecamp.
“From our perspective, it’s quite simple really,” he said. “We’re tucked away, we really like our basecamp.
