SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California restaurant owners will soon be able to apply for a $5,000 grant designed to help them invest in updated technology, upgrade equipment or make it through an ‘unforeseen hardship.’
The California Restaurant Foundation (CRF) is a nonprofit that invests in California’s restaurants, and it has a Restaurants Care Resilience Fund.
The grant program is funded by SoCalGas, PG&E Corporation Foundation and San Diego Gas & Electric. More than 275 business owners will be selected to receive the $5,000 grants.

The application will be open Saturday, June 15 through Sunday, June 30
This year, applications are also extended to commercial caterers, as well as independent restaurant owners.
