DENVER (KDVR) — The future of the area around Ball Arena will go before the Denver City Council on Monday. The arena’s owners are looking for the go-ahead to move forward with a 55-acre redevelopment plan.
Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, which owns Ball Arena, originally filed redevelopment plans in 2022. The owners proposed a brand new neighborhood, with office and retail space, housing and a park.

When discussing the proposal in front of the South Platte River Committee earlier this month, several residents expressed worry about the height of any new development.
“It’s just really important to make Denver maintain its western vibe and to be able to see the mountains from various points downtown,” one resident said at that meeting.
